About Me

I live two lives, and they feed each other.

By profession I am a physician — a specialist in Nuclear Medicine, qualified also in Radiation Oncology, with forty years of experience behind me. My particular focus is the management of thyroid cancers and targeted therapies with agents such as ¹⁷⁷Lutetium. Medicine gives me a front-row view of the human condition — courage, fear, and the strange machinery of body and mind.

By vocation I am a novelist, with four published books including The Conflict of Karna and The Village of Shadows. My fiction deals with time, space, mythology, and the Indian scriptures — the questions medicine raises but cannot answer.

At present I am deep in research for my next and most ambitious book — into the philosophical background of human evolution, Indian history, and the scriptures. This blog is where some of that thinking will surface first.

I write from Kanyakumari district, at the southern tip of India, where the land runs out and three seas meet.
